This is a fairly light review for Marvel’s July releases.  But that’s not to say there’s nothing worth looking at.  There’s big stuff happening in the Ultimate MU titles, there’s obviously massive going’s on going on in the Avengers and X-Men titles.  Spider-man (men?) are up to some cross over antics and Daredevil continues its run as perhaps one of Marvel’s best titles at this time.  If you haven’t already, the word is out that the Avenger’s movie is well worth the price of admission and regardless of the lavish dosing of spandex and testosterone, it’s a good yarn and just plain good fun.  Check out all Marvel’s July offerings here at CBR.  Onto the two highlights…

CAPTAIN MARVEL #1 – If ever there was a classic comic character, this is one of them.  And look at HER now.  Yep, Captain Marvel is back, and this time as a ass kicking heroine.   The cover for this is truly a nice piece of work, and I like this reworking of the costume (perhaps those on Wonder Woman might take some notes? :-))

POWERS: FBI #1 – Brian Michael Bendis’ own Powers returns with a new direction that promises to progress the characters while serve as a great starting point for new readers.
