Welcome to the weekend folks.

Dark Horse are already on the ball announcing how they’re going to kick of 2010! Click here to see the full details of their January releases. Here’s some highlights:

ALIENS VS. PREDATOR: THREE WORLD WAR #1 (of 6) – Aliens was one of Dark Horse’s earliest licenses and arguably and be a big part of their success. Dark Horse understood the ‘natural’ pairing of Aliens with Predator and the rest has been comic history. Now, some 20 years on, these licenses are still going strong and Dark Horse is still doing interesting stories with them. Case in point, this new miniseries which reunites the original AvP creative team and promises to tie more closely the old stories with the new. As Mills Lane might say, Let’s get it on!

B.P.R.D.: KING OF FEAR #1 (of 5) – The Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defence is back at what they do best, defending us from the dark forces in the shadows. This series will tie up the Scorched Earth trilogy and sees the frog menace come to a head and the rescue attempt of agent Johann Kraus!

MASS EFFECT: REDEMPTION #1 (of 4) – The gaming world continues to court our favourite pop culture medium, now with Mass Effect coming at you in four colour glory. Mac Walters, who is the lead writer for Mass Effect 2, will be penning this miniseries focuses around Commander Sheppard and his mysterious disappearance.

BLACKSAD – A wonderful sounding anthropomorphic tale of PI John Blacksad that is set in the rich era of 1950’s America where racial tension and social change, conspiracies and the red menace are just some of the challenges facing the everyday ‘people’. Having wowed European audiences in 2000, Dark Horse have collected 4 tales (or should that be tails) in this HC release. Hey, if Tim Sale, Will Eisner and Jim Steranko give it the thumbs up, who are we not to take notice?

These Dark Horse Gems and all their other fine works will be available to order from the November Previews at the start of , funnily enough, November!
